Lyrics: This song was written during an artist residency with the U.S. Constitution as the overall theme. The students chose not to use the actual well-known Preamble text for their song, but to use "We the People" as a starting point for their own thoughts and feelings about this country. They emphasized the many places of origin and varied reasons for people to immigrate to this country, and the need for mutual respect. We thought they did a wonderful job!
